01 May 2007: Hello from Mike
At last I get to make an entry. FIRST! I'd like to thank everyone for the many cards, well wishes, prayers, and blog enties. The power of collective positive energy is truely tangable from my perspective - so thanks again.
Erin - great job on the blog.
Its great to be out of the hospital. I'm still not totally moble and very dependant on my suport system here at GG's. The out-patient PT will slowly move toward independance over the next few months. The next major mile stone is ability to go "home". This next phase is going to be slow and less exciting, but with a little help from some friends we hope to slog thru it.
Bye for now! Love to all,
Mike

This is your old friend Dick Clark who sent prayers and good thoughts to you, (but whose card to you is still sitting in front of me!) I'm glad you're out of the hospital and you look great. I'm sorry you had to go through this, but you made it through in spades. As Debbie Guy said when she heard about your accident: "As I recall. Mike's one tough guy!" I followed your progress on the wonderful blog and Meg kept me and Deb updated.
I do hope our paths cross again in this lifetime. Much love to you and your family as you move forward and heal.
Warm regards,
Dickie
